Welcome to the SF Sailing Coach. My name is Steve Sarsfield. Here, sailing on the unique San Francisco Bay, on your boat; I will be with you, to support you, and challenge you, as you move from novice sailor to confident sailor.
You can relax because you have confidence. You have confidence because you understand what is happening with the boat and the sails and the wind. Perhaps you have been taught by rote, to do this when that happens, etc. This is not understanding the magnificence of a sailboat. Step by step I will take you through the maneuvers you need to master. You will know what you are doing and why. I will dispel the myths and the mystery.

My professional background is in science and math, with some teaching thrown in as well.
